So the French language leadership debate was scheduled for the same time as a Montreal Canadiens playoff game. Clearly, this was a disaster. (Actually, it was, because as anyone from Quebec knows, the Habs are practically a religion.) So Gilles Duceppe got it moved. So pro, Gilles, so pro.
According to a new poll, 21% of voters are using social media to discuss and debate the election. Apparently middle-aged voters more so than young voters, probably for the practical reason that young voters have much better things to do with their social media. I think I shall take this as a call to arms and encourage you ALL to spend more time posting political statuses on Facebook. It's what all the cool kids are doing.
I think by now all of the major parties have released their platforms. In the coming week or so I'll be looking at them and seeing how they compare on youth and student issues. After that I will probably do some quick overviews of the more minor political parties. And of course I'll have a lot to say for the leadership debates!
